Jon Ingi Ingimundarson

Jon Ingi Ingimundarson serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Ljósleiðarinn since July 2007, overseeing the Reykjavik Fibre Network's Open Access and Backhaul network, which provides comprehensive telecom services throughout Iceland and international transit to Europe. Previously, Jon held the role of Director of Technology at Ljósleiðarinn, contributing to the company's growth from approximately 500 FTTH customers. As the CEO and Founder of Skeyti since November 2003, Jon has directed consulting projects in telecom, standardization, cyber security, and software engineering for notable clients such as Vodafone Iceland and Nova. Earlier experiences include serving as a Mobile Architect at Hex, developing innovative mobile solutions, and as a System Architect at OZ Communications, where responsibilities included the development of a 3D spatialized media engine and VoIP communication stack. Jon holds a Cand. Scient degree in Electrical Engineering from Háskóli Íslands.
