Lauren Mahony has over a decade of experience in the art industry, predominantly at Gagosian Gallery since April 2012, where Lauren serves as Director of Publications and Artist Liaison, overseeing significant exhibitions and managing various art publications, including esteemed works on Helen Frankenthaler and David Reed. Prior to Gagosian Gallery, Lauren held positions at The Museum of Modern Art from May 2005 to March 2012, including Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Painting and Sculpture, contributing to major exhibitions such as "de Kooning: A Retrospective" and "Matisse: Radical Invention." Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Art History from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature, as well as Art History from New York University.
