Kathy Baynard has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kathy began their career in 1998 at Austell Box Board Corporation as a Chemical Process Engineer, where they were responsible for efficiency analysis, technical support, and quality investigations. Kathy worked there until 2000.
In 2004, Kathy joined Gaia Herbs as a Customer Service Representative before transitioning to the role of Process Solutions Division Manager in 2006. In this role, they managed the sales division for bulk, contract manufactured, and private label projects, and was involved in project feasibility analysis, customer audits, and overall project management. Kathy held this position until 2010.
From 2011 to 2016, Kathy worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Gaia Herbs, where they played a key role in establishing the company's quality system under new FDA regulations. Kathy developed quality requirements, policies, and technical documents, and contributed to various quality-related projects.
In 2017, Kathy was promoted to the position of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Team Lead at Gaia Herbs. In this role, they oversaw batch record review, quality investigations, regulatory compliance, and data analysis. Kathy also managed federal regulatory requirements for ethanol usage in production. Kathy held this position until 2020.
Following that, Kathy served as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Gaia Herbs from 2020 to 2022, where they continued to contribute to quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Most recently, Kathy has been working as the QC Operations Manager at Gaia Herbs since March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for managing all aspects of quality control operations.

Kathy Baynard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Kathy also has another Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the same institution. In addition to their educational background, Kathy holds certifications in AQS Certified Process Quality Analyst from ASQ - World Headquarters, obtained in June 2018, and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in May 2023.
