Digital Asset Manager at Gaia

Karine Nolte has worked in the media and video production industry for over a decade. Karine began their career in 2002 as a Video Editor at KTVK, where they edited three and a half hours of nightly newscasts using Grass Valley NewsEdit system and Final Cut Pro. Karine also trained and coordinated all new Electronic News Gathering (ENG) staff, maintained and logged video library, and took in news feeds as needed.

In 2004, they began working as a Freelance Editor at Life Illustrations, where they worked with clients and creatively directed digital photomontages using client interviews, home videos, photos, and other resources. Projects included audio and video editing in Final Cut Pro, interactive menu creation in iDVD, and final DVD duplication.

In 2008, they began working at AASK Arizona - Aid to Adoption of Special Kids as a Video Media Specialist, where they were responsible for all video projects, including packages like KPNX’s weekly Wednesday’s Child (English and Spanish versions), KTVK’s Are You My Family and My Video Project. Karine produced and edited recruitment and informational videos for website audience.

In 2009, they began working as a Freelance Videographer/Editor at Beaker.com, where they videotaped, set up lighting, rolled teleprompter, and edited weekly online news segment for Beaker.com. Projects were quick one-day turn around.

In 2010, they began working at Gaiam as a Project Manager - Traffic Manager, where they were responsible for quality control, encoding and authoring of Gaiam and Vivendi titles including: Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Gaiam Fitness and Entertainment, eOne Films International, Spiritual Cinema Circle, RHI, Sonar, Jim Hensen Group and Hallmark Channel. Karine worked closely with graphics team, outside vendors, and was responsible for invoicing. Karine also managed all digital assets and small freelance team to help with nightly work-flow.

In 2014, they began working at Gaia Inc. as a Digital Asset Manager, Digital Asset Coordinator, and DVD Author. Karine also began working at Engrain as a Project Manager.

Karine Nolte attended Glendale Community College from 1996 to 1998. Karine then went on to Northern Arizona University, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media in 2001.
