Rick Racela

Rick Racela has worked in the digital media industry since 2005. Rick began their career at the Cape May County Herald as Audience Development Manager and Webmaster. In 2008, they moved to the Digital Press Consortium as a Solution Delivery Manager, where they advanced and commoditized a newspaper publishing content management system, business directory product, and ad serving platform. In 2010, they joined Comcast as a Product Manager for Social Media Integrations, engaging sports fans across regional markets. From 2013 to 2017, they held various leadership roles at NBC Sports Group, including Director of Digital Products and Platforms and Senior Manager of Digital Product Development. In 2017, they joined Gaia Inc. as Senior Director of Product Management, overseeing product development for a fast-growing international and multi-platform subscription video experience. Rick managed an impactful team of product managers and UX/UI designers, and helped shift the team's philosophy toward a "back to basics" approach.

Rick Racela received their BA in Business Studies and Computer Science from Stockton University in 2005. In 2007, they earned a Web Database Development Certificate from Rutgers University, specializing in HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL. Rick also attended Lower Cape May Regional High School from 1996 to 2000.
