Doug Rhoten

Doug Rhoten has served as a member of the board of directors since October 2019. Mr. Rhoten also serves as Chairman of ICAP Patent Brokerage and is the Co-Founder of Otra Capital Alternative Lending Fund, a Founding Member of IP Angels Fund Korea, an Advisor to Spiral Sun Health Food Fund and is on the Mt. Sinai Eating & Weight Disorder Clinic advisory committee. He was Chief Executive Officer of ICAP Americas for 12 years, where his responsibilities included all ICAP America's voice brokerage activities and operational responsibility for the businesses located in the region. At ICAP, his executive roles also included membership on the ICAP Group Global Management and Risk Committees, as well as the Chairman of the Operating Committee of ICAP Americas. He is also a past member of the ICAP Group Global Intellectual Property and Technology Governance Committees. A graduate of St. Michael’s University, Mr. Rhoten began his ICAP experience at one of its predecessor companies GGB, in 1977, and became president of GGB 1995 and Co-CEO of ICAP North America in 1999. Through his career at ICAP, he managed ICAP's businesses in equities, credit, energy, emerging markets, commodities, futures, electronic trading, FX, fixed income, money markets, data sales, various derivative products and in the later part of his career, becoming active in the brokerage of non-capital markets products such as media rights and Intellectual Property monetization. Mr. Rhoten has been an active participant on a number of industry committees, including serving as a former member of the US Federal Reserve Bank Foreign Exchange Committee, the board of the Chilean Products Exchange, was a founding member of LES Patent Standards Committee, served as a FFVC mentor, and held positions on the boards of Cross-Asset Software and CABEI.
