Matthew Pretty

Matthew Pretty has a comprehensive work experience in software development and leadership roles in the finance and education industries. Matthew started their career at GMAP Ltd as a Software Developer from 1989 to 1994. Matthew then worked as a Contract Software Developer at Eurofleet Ltd from 1997 to 2000. From 2001 to 2004, they were a Software Developer at Financial Objects. Matthew worked as a Contract Software Developer at Pearson Education from 2004 to 2005 and became a Software Developer at Pearson Education from 2005 to 2005. Matthew then joined City Index in 2006 and held various roles, including Lead Developer. At City Index, they gained strong knowledge in retail trading, markets, derivatives pricing, and risk management. Matthew worked closely with the head of trading/research and managed a team of 6 in their last role. In 2016, Matthew joined GAIN Capital as a Development Director, Trading Systems.

Matthew Pretty attended the University of Leeds from 1986-1989, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Geography. Later, in 1994-1995, they pursued an MA degree in South East Asian Studies at the University of Hull.
