Zachary Toben has a diverse range of work experience in software development. Zachary started their career in 2012 as a part-time student working in software development at John Deere. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a computer software engineer at Heartland AEA, where they developed and maintained web apps for employees. In 2015, they joined John Deere's Intelligent Solutions Group as a web software developer, focusing on web app development.

From 2017 to 2018, they worked for Corteva as a contract software engineer, contributing to the development of a seed sales and distribution platform. In 2016, they joined Heartland AEA again, this time as a consulting software engineer, where they developed various web applications, including an event scheduling system and audiologist testing platform.

In 2019, they started their own company called Toben Software, where they serve as the owner and software engineer. Since 2018, they have also worked at Gain Compliance, initially as a software engineer, later transitioning to a senior software engineer, and currently holding the position of staff software engineer. At Gain Compliance, they specialize in developing compliance tools for the insurance industry, utilizing technologies such as React, Javascript, Typescript, Redux, Node.js, and Google Cloud.

Zachary Toben completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in April 2017.
