Rich Tate

Rich Tate has extensive work experience in logistics and transportation management. Rich currently holds the position of Director of Pricing at Gain Consulting LLC, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at The FSL Group for over two decades, holding various roles such as Vice President of Carrier Management, Carrier Relations Manager, and Carrier Relations and Sourcing/Project Manager. In these roles, they actively managed numerous customer accounts on a national scale and represented the organization at industry organizations. Rich was responsible for negotiating and sourcing carriers for all customers across different freight transportation modes, with an annual spend exceeding $200 million. Before joining The FSL Group, Rich Tate worked at Healthdyne Technologies, Inc. as a Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager, and Materials Supervisor. In these positions, they oversaw the storage, handling, and shipping of finished goods, as well as implemented storage systems that significantly increased space utilization.

Rich Tate pursued Continuing Education with the Logistics Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000. During this time, they focused on Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Additionally, Rich obtained certification in Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management in 1997. Rich also acquired a certification in The Logistics Institute from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000. In 2004, Rich received a certification in Contract Law from SMC3.
