Lorenzo Leoni

Lorenzo Leoni has a long history of working in the biomedical and medical device industries. Lorenzo began their career in 2010 as the Founder of Oculox Technologies, a technology and engineering company developing innovative medical devices. In 2011, they became the General Manager and Managing Partner of Fondazione AGIRE | Tecnopolo Ticino. In 2010, they also founded Actus Advisory, a company providing wealth creation, development and preservation services.

In 2016, Leoni founded two companies, BioPharmaTi Ltd and Elion Oncology Inc. Lorenzo also became the Co-Founder of Gain Therapeutics. In 2018, Leoni became the Chairman of the Board of Industrie Biomediche Insubri SA. In 2020, they joined the Board of Directors of Artificialy and in 2021, they joined the Board of Directors of BigOmics Analytics. Leoni is also the Managing Partner of TiVenture, a seed investment fund for innovative companies in Ticino, southern Switzerland.

Lorenzo Leoni completed a Post-Doc at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine from 1995 to 1997 in the field of Biomedicine. From 1990 to 1995, they obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL. Lorenzo earned their BS in Biology from the same university between 1984 and 1989.
