Maria Aminoff-Backlund is an experienced professional with a robust background in both fundraising and business management, alongside an extensive academic foundation in human and medical genetics. Currently serving as a Fundraiser and Sales Negotiator at Gainer Oy since February 2018, Maria has successfully exceeded campaign targets for organizations such as Unicef and Cancerstiftelsen. As the Owner and Managing Director of Scandinavian Designers Mix since August 2008, Maria established key relationships with major Finnish retailers, facilitating the introduction of Scandinavian products to the Finnish market. Earlier in their career, Maria held research positions, including a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Helsinki where significant contributions were made to gene mutation research in relation to Gräsbeck-Imerslund disease. With a Ph.D. in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Helsinki, Maria combines scientific expertise with entrepreneurial acumen.
