After two years, they joined Gainesville Regional Utilities in 2005 and held multiple roles, including Director of Corporate Security and Corporate Security Coordinator. David's work experience spans over 15 years, demonstrating their expertise in managing security operations and implementing security protocols in corporate settings.

From 1971 to 1975, David Thompson, CPP pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Following this, they attended Webster University from 1975 to 1977, where they earned their Master of Arts degree in Administration of Justice.
