Gregory Robeson's work experience includes roles at various companies starting in 1982. Gregory began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as a Supply Administration officer for 15 years. After leaving the military in 1997, they joined the private sector as a Non-Appropriated Funds Auditor. In 2002, they transitioned to Huckstep & Associates, LLC, where they served as the Firm Administrator and played a key role in generating new business.
In 2004, Robeson joined Leggett & Platt as an Internal Audit Supervisor, where they led audit teams and developed comprehensive audit programs. During their time there, they were also recognized as an expert in program development.
From 2006 to 2020, Robeson worked at Bass Pro Shops as a Regional Audit Manager. In this role, they identified control weaknesses, implemented corrective measures, and conducted investigations that uncovered significant fraudulent activity amounting to over $1.6 million.
In 2020, Robeson joined the City of Gainesville as a Senior Internal Auditor and was later promoted to Internal Audit Manager. Gregory assumed the role of Internal Control Manager at Gainesville Regional Utilities in 2022.
Throughout their career, Robeson has demonstrated leadership, integrity, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks within organizations.
Gregory Robeson began their education journey in 1985 when they pursued an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from National University. Gregory then went on to attend Chaminade University of Honolulu from 1986 to 1988, where they studied Accounting. Following this, they enrolled at Strayer University from 1995 to 1997 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Gregory further expanded their academic qualifications by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business at National University from 2000 to 2002.
