Laura Dawson

Laura Dawson is an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in financial management and reporting. Currently serving as Staff Accountant II at Gainsco since May 2010, Laura is responsible for reconciling and preparing journal entries for various accounts and assists in the month-end close process. Prior to this role, Laura worked as a Senior Accountant at Mattress Giant, where responsibilities included month-end journal entry preparation and balance sheet analysis. Laura's experience also encompasses a position as Staff Accountant at CompUSA, focusing on variance analysis and real estate tax accruals, and as an Accounting Services Clerk at Sears, Roebuck and Co. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration with a Finance Concentration, both obtained from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas.
