Kevin MacIas-Matsuura

Kevin Macias-Matsuura has a diverse work experience starting from 2011 as an Academic Tutor at Extreme Learning, Club Xcite, and later transitioning to roles in education including Teaching Assistant at Young Women's Leadership School, English/History Teacher at MS 319 - Maria Teresa Mirabal, and English Teacher at PS 34 - Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 2019, they worked as a Cook at little skips. Transitioning to the tech industry, Kevin worked as a Data Scientist at Flatiron School, then as a Brooklyn Student Recruitment Data Associate at Achievement First. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Solutions Architect at Gainwell Technologies.

Kevin Macias-Matsuura completed their A.A. in Arts & Letters at De Anza College from 2008 to 2011. Kevin then pursued a B.A. in Literatures in English at UC San Diego from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they earned an M.S. in Education from St. John's University from 2014 to 2016. In 2020, they attended Flatiron School to study Data Science.
