Tristan Collins has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as a Ventures Analyst at Transentia Ltd. Tristan then moved on to work as a Membership Manager at Zipcar in 2009, followed by Strategy Consultant roles at Corporate Value Associates from 2010 to 2012 and Lintel Consulting Limited from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they founded Metaboards and served as the Managing Director until 2018, after which they became the Director of Future Technologies until 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at gaitQ, a company focused on improving the quality of life for people affected by Parkinson's through their development of a wearable, smart medical device.

Tristan Collins obtained a BSci degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University in 2001. Tristan then went on to pursue an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering with Financial Management at the University of Strathclyde from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they continued their education at the University of Cambridge where they obtained a PhD in Engineering from 2004 to 2008.
