Anna Alvi-Assinder

Anna Alvi-Assinder has a diverse work experience spanning various marketing and communications roles. Anna currently serves as the Senior Marketing Lead at Gala since February 2022. Previously, they worked at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, where they held multiple positions including Head of Marketing and Events, Senior Marketing Manager, and Marketing Relationship Manager and Future Faces Manager from 2017 to 2022. Before that, Anna worked as a Brand & Marketing Manager at ORB - Brand Agency in 2016 and as a Brand Manager at the same company in 2014-2015. Anna also held positions at Big Cat Group as a Senior Marketing Account Executive and Marketing & Communications Executive from 2012 to 2014. Anna gained experience in project management as an Assistant Project Manager at SIFE - Students in Free Enterprise Voluntary Initiative from 2011 to 2012, working on a programme aimed at increasing the employability and life skills of offenders and ex-offenders. Additionally, they served as a Project Manager at Nottingham Domestic Violence Forum from 2010 to 2012. Anna started their professional journey as a Marketing Intern at Alliance Boots in 2011, where they worked on various projects related to marketing databases and corporate social responsibilities. Anna also gained retail experience as a Sales Assistant at WHSmith from 2007 to 2010. As a Volunteer at the Teenage Cancer Trust in 2008-2009, Anna demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community.

Anna Alvi-Assinder obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Solihull School Sixth Form from 2007 to 2009. Their educational journey began at Saint Martins' School, where they completed their schooling from 1994 to 2007. Additionally, Anna Alvi-Assinder obtained a certification as a CIM ACIM Member from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in March 2021.
