Houcem Maiza started their career as the Founder & Head of Communications at Galactech LLC in August 2016. During their tenure, they focused on developing casual games with augmented reality and virtual reality technologies, reaching over 100k downloads. In July 2018, they took on the role of Chief Executive Officer, leading Galactech's pivot towards becoming a prominent player in the gaming industry in the MEA region. Under their supervision, Galactech launched My Game Place (MGP), a legal shop that facilitates direct connections between North African gamers and game publishers. In 2023, following the acquisition of Galactech, Houcem became Co-CEO at GBarena. In this role, they emphasize business development, financial operations, and the expansion of gaming solutions and financial services in the region. Additionally, they are dedicated to promoting esports and innovation within the gaming community. Prior to their work at Galactech, Houcem served as the Chief Operating Officer at GenTech Tunisia, where they focused on providing integration, software engineering, and consulting services to financial institutions and corporates, with a commitment to customer service and operational efficiency.
Houcem Maiza obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Ingénierie informatique from Ecole Supérieure Privée d'Ingénierie et de Technologies - ESPRIT, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Diplôme d'ingénieur in MP: Mathématiques Physique at IPEIS - Institut Préparatoire aux Études d'Ingénieur de Sfax, from 2014 to 2016.
