Miranda Jones has a long career history of working in the creative and media industries. Miranda began their career in 2003 as the Director of Operations for the San Francisco Film Society, where they managed all venue and staffing needs for the longest running international film festival in the western hemisphere. In 2004, they co-founded Galanter & Jones, where they were responsible for sales, marketing and public relations for the maker of the world's first line of heated outdoor furniture. In 2008, they took on the role of Style Editor at Sunset Magazine, where they were responsible for producing, writing, scouting and styling stories for all areas of the magazine. In 2012, they became Editor of PopSugar Home, where they managed the PopSugar home team, in addition to researching, writing and producing numerous daily articles for PopSugar's home decor channel. Most recently, in 2020, they co-founded The Last Draw, a PAC focused on original pro-Biden art to help win the White House in the 2020 election. Miranda commissioned art from four women artists to create art that was sold and widely donated to swing states.

Miranda Jones graduated from Hellgate Highschool in 1995. Miranda then attended Mount Holyoke College from 1995-1999, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Affairs. During their time at Mount Holyoke College, they also attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1997-1998, where they studied International Relations with a Middle East Concentration.
