Luiz Felipe Alves

Luiz Felipe Alves currently serves as the Chairman of Investment Banking at Galapagos Capital, a position held since January 2023. With extensive experience in the financial sector, Luiz has been the Managing Partner at Cypress since September 2004, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, IPO preparations, capital markets (debt and equity), and structured operations. Previously, Luiz held leadership roles including President of the Retail Division at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional, CFO for the Southern Region at Brasil Telecom, and Director of Auditing and Controllership at Shell, where employment spanned from March 1980 to December 2000. Luiz holds a postgraduate degree in Economic Engineering from UERJ and a bachelor's degree in Accounting Sciences from Faculdade Celso Lisboa.
