Chris Pei is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative research and trading. Currently serving as the Director of Quants at Galaxy Digital since November 2021, Chris previously held the position of Head of Quants and Senior Portfolio Manager at LedgerPrime. Prior roles include Portfolio Manager, CIO, and Quantitative Researcher at a hedge fund focusing on crypto and equities, along with a tenure as VP, Quantitative Analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, where Chris contributed to building an equity algorithmic trading platform. Earlier experience at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. includes leadership in equity trading, alpha research, and developing sophisticated trading strategies through advanced data analysis and natural language processing. Chris holds a Master's Degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from The Ohio State University.
