Ryan Borner

Ryan Borner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ryan is currently working as a Vice President, Security Engineer at Galaxy Digital since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Global Payments Inc. as a Security Engineer from March 2021 to September 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Ryan served as a Security Engineer at Bridgewater Associates, where they handled endpoint security controls, vulnerability scanning, and automation for SOC and VM teams. Ryan also worked on DevOps and build automation.

Before joining Bridgewater Associates, Ryan worked as a Security Consultant at Optiv Inc. in 2017, providing consultation services for Carbon Black Response and Carbon Black Protect. Ryan planned, architected, and deployed CB products for Fortune 500 companies.

Ryan's earlier experience includes working as a Server Administrator at CaroMont Health from 2015 to 2017, where they managed server fleet management and deployment, as well as handled McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and VMware administration. Ryan also worked as a PC Specialist from 2010 to 2015, managing hardware/software deployment and image development in a healthcare system.

In addition, Ryan has experience as a Home Save Counselor at Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America from 2009 to 2010, where they created and managed family budgets and negotiated mortgage restructures. Ryan also worked as an Intern at Gaston Literacy Council in 2009.

Ryan's career started as a Student at Appalachian State University from 2005 to 2009.
