Corey Hamilton

Corey Hamilton has a diverse work history spanning over several decades. Their most recent position was as a Content Creator at Galco, a company they joined in 2022. Prior to this, Corey worked at Wayne State University from 2015 onwards, serving as a Professional Writing/Tech Comm Instructor. In the same year, they also held the role of Editor, Proofreader, and Co-Author. In 2019, Corey became a Special Lecturer at Oakland University. Before transitioning to the academic field, Corey worked at the University of Central Oklahoma as an Instructor and Chairperson from 2009 to 2015. During this time, they undertook various responsibilities such as designing logos, writing and editing conference materials, teaching writing and research courses, and presenting at national conferences. Corey's earlier experience includes positions at STAR Geophysics as a Geophysical Technician/Technical Writer, Express It Fulfillment Center as a Technical Writer, Demaree Media as a Copywriter, and ATM, Inc./JEC Connelly and Associates as a Writer/Copywriter.

Corey Hamilton obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Central Oklahoma between 2007 and 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies at the same institution from 2012 to 2015. Subsequently, they enrolled in Wayne State University and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies from 2015 to 2022.
