GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics
Charles Bouley II is an accomplished host, producer, and columnist with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as the host and producer for GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, Bouley co-exec produces and scripts "The Dorians," a show celebrating top film and TV achievements. Bouley has also contributed to Karel.Media since 1993, creating and hosting various multimedia broadcasts, including "The Karel Cast." In addition to entertainment, Bouley's writing spans health and wellness topics for Thrive Global and Medium. Previously, Bouley hosted the reality chat show "#Karel_Life_in_Segments" on Free Speech TV and worked as an entertainer on KGO-810AM. Bouley's background includes significant roles in prominent media outlets, such as The Huffington Post, Spike TV, and KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO. Educational achievements include an honors diploma from Long Beach Polytechnic High and studies at Long Beach City College.

GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics' Dorian Awards go to the best in film, TV and Broadway / Off-Broadway—mainstream to queer! Founded in 2009, GALECA today consists of over 500 professional critics and journalists (reporters, podcasters, broadcasters...) covering movies, shows and NYC plays for some of the biggest and coolest media outlets in the U.S. and beyond. We're here to remind haters, and our own beleaguered folks, that the world loves the Q+ eye on everything entertainment (not just cute hair and clothes!). We also advocate for better pay, access and respect for our members, especially those in our communities' most underrepresented segments. Thanks for caring!
