Adam Maynard has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Adam began their career as an Intern at Grow Smart Rhode Island in 2010. Adam then worked as a Sustainability Outreach Coordinator at Brown University's Department of Facilities Management, where they managed campus sustainability initiatives and directed a team of volunteers and interns.
In 2011, Maynard joined the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection as a Communications Assistant, where they administered an efficiency program and prepared policy briefings for department officials. Adam also worked as a Sustainability Fellow at Yale University during the same year, designing a comprehensive sustainability pledge and editing fact sheets for LEED buildings.
Maynard further expanded their experience by becoming a Writer and Founder of The Green Lantern, a platform where they shared their expertise and ideas on various topics. Adam also served as a Programs Coordinator and a Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, focusing on curriculum development, membership recruitment, and policy proposal development in the energy and environmental fields.
In 2012, Maynard joined the U.S. Green Building Council as a Neighborhood Development Summer Associate and later progressed to become an Associate in LEED-ND, a Project Manager in LEED, and a Specialist in Technical Solutions. In these roles, they executed project sales, grew the sales pipeline, and managed customer relationships.
From 2016 to 2019, Maynard owned and operated Adam Maynard Relationship Coaching, providing coaching services to clients in the area of relationships. Adam then joined AVANGRID in 2020 as a Manager of Programs and Products, overseeing a portfolio of residential energy efficiency programs, managing budgets and operations, and ranking highly in vendor management skills.
Most recently, Maynard joined Galehead Development in 2022 as a Senior Associate in Project Development before being promoted to Manager of Project Development. In this role, they are responsible for driving the advancement of a pipeline of Distributed Generation solar projects, conducting site evaluations, and managing various development efforts.
Throughout their career, Maynard has demonstrated their ability to excel in diverse roles and industries, showcasing their expertise in areas such as project management, sales, sustainability, and coaching.
Adam Maynard attended Brown University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their fields of study were Environmental Studies and Urban Studies. In 2013, Adam obtained the LEED Green Associate certification from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
