Valentine Williams, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS has a diverse work experience in the veterinary and animal health industry. Most recently, they served as the Senior Vice President Clinical Development and Regulatory at Gallant since February 2023. Prior to that, from June 2020 to February 2023, they worked as an Associate Director Regulatory Pharmaceuticals at Boehringer Ingelheim, where they were responsible for influencing and executing regulatory strategy across products in small animal, equine, and food animal for the US and global biopharmaceuticals.

Valentine also worked as a Technical Services Veterinarian at Fort Dodge Animal Health from 2003 to 2007, where they managed pharmacovigilance/adverse event reporting for companion products and provided field support for marketed products. They also served as an R&D technical liaison for multiple products in development.

Valentine started their career as an Equine Surgeon at MERRITT & ASSOCIATES EQUINE HOSPITAL, P.C. from 2001 to 2003, and at Equine Veterinary Associates from 2000 to 2001. They briefly worked as an Equine Surgeon at Centennial Valley Equine Hospital in 2000.

Valentine started their academic journey in 1986 at Texas A&M University, where they pursued Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. After four years, they successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1990. Following this, they continued their education at Colorado State University from 1990 to 1992, specializing in Equine Reproductive Physiology and earning a Master's Degree.

Valentine's pursuit of knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine led him back to Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, where they enrolled in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Valentine dedicated four years to obtaining their DVM degree, completing it in 1996.

In their quest for expertise, Valentine joined The Ohio State University between 1996 and 2000 for further education. During this time, they simultaneously pursued a Master of Science in Equine Joint Physiology and a Residency in Equine Surgery.
