Paulo Tarso F. de Araujo

Paulo Tarso F. de Araujo is the Head of Supply & Trading Americas at Galp since May 2022, overseeing energy trading and origination of electricity, natural gas, and oil operations in Brazil, along with innovation initiatives for portfolio efficiency. Previously, Paulo held positions as Director of Energy Commercialization at Abraceel and Vice President of the Board at Vivaz Energia and Abraceel. In addition, Paulo served as President Director at Petrobras Comercializadora de Energia S.A. and held various managerial roles at Petrobras and FURNAS. Paulo's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Energy Economics and Management from COPPEAD UFRJ, along with specialized training in International Gas Business Management from IHRDC in Boston.
