Veronica Avelar is a seasoned cost and project controls leader with over 16 years of experience in capital project management across various sectors, including energy and infrastructure. Currently, as a Senior Cost Estimator & Risk Analyst at Galp, Veronica leads forecasting and budgeting efforts for large-scale projects while mentoring analysts on risk analysis and process mapping. Previously, Veronica has held roles at CTR Group, AKWEL, and Groupe PSA, where they have consistently driven financial performance and optimization strategies through advanced data analytics and project governance. Veronica holds a Master's degree in Project Management from ULP and an MBA in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
