Fatima Ali has a solid background in research and laboratory management. Fatima started their career as a Laboratory Intern at the University of California, San Francisco, where they conducted research on neural progenitor stem cell development in zebrafish. Fatima then joined Nitrase Therapeutics, where they worked as a Research Assistant and Operations Assistant. In these roles, they maintained cells in cell culture, conducted western Blott and immunohistochemistry experiments, managed chemical compounds, and ensured the organization and tidiness of the lab. Currently, Fatima is working as a Research Assistant at Galvanize Therapeutics, where they focus on lab management, ensuring equipment functionality and calibration, and stock management.
Fatima Ali obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology from Concordia University between 2004 and 2008. Additionally, they attended Bellevue Community College in 2012 and obtained a Nursing Assistant Certification. More recently, from 2017 to 2019, Fatima acquired a Certification in Stem Cell Technology in the field of Biotechnology from City College of San Francisco.
