Kevin Taylor has extensive experience in the medical and healthcare industry. Kevin is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Galvanize Therapeutics, Inc. since December 2018. Prior to this, they held the role of COO at Gala Therapeutics starting from January 2020, and also served as the VP of R&D in the same company from December 2015 to January 2020. Kevin also worked as an investor at Botable since January 2018.
From 2012 to 2015, Kevin worked at ReCor Medical as the VP of Development & Operations. During their tenure, they developed a novel ablation system utilizing ultrasound technology for the treatment of hypertension. Kevin also played a crucial role in growing the company from 3 to 20 employees, handling recruitment and hiring for various departments.
Prior to ReCor Medical, Kevin worked at Acclarent, Inc. as the Director of Process & Product Development from March 2007 to December 2011. Their responsibilities included establishing a Process and Product Development function within the organization to ensure efficient and successful new product launches.
Before Acclarent, Kevin worked at Guidant Group, Inc. as the Manager of R&D Cardiac Surgery from March 2003 to March 2007. Kevin played a key role in turning around the product development efforts of the minimally invasive surgical ablation franchise. Kevin was responsible for new product development, budgeting, project resource modeling, and franchise strategy.
Kevin's early career includes a role as an R&D Project Manager at Atrionix Inc, Palo Alto from May 1998 to May 2002.
Kevin Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. After that, they pursued an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2000 to 2002, specializing in the field of Business.
