Elaine Naughton Msc

Elaine Naughton MSc has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and industries.

Elaine is currently the Head of Information Technology at Galway City Council since 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at the Health Service Executive (HSE) where they held various roles, including Portfolio Projects Manager for the Device Refresh Programme, Technology Portfolio Projects Manager, WebEx Platform Manager, Senior IT Executive Digital Media & Communications Advisor, EHR Infrastructure Coordinator/Business Relationship Manager, Interim National Critical Incident Manager, and eHealth Ireland Digital Communications Strategy Project Manager.

Before joining HSE, they were employed at Thomas McDonogh & Sons as the Group National IT Manager, where they managed IT infrastructure at multiple sites and implemented various technological solutions.

Elaine also worked as an IT Manager for UK & Ireland at MICROS-FIDELIO, overseeing the setup and management of the EMEA Support Centre IT infrastructure.

At CSC, they were a Senior Engineer, and at Nortel Networks, they held roles as a Systems Administrator and a Product Specialist. At Nortel Networks, they were involved in numerous improvement projects, global deployments, and conferences.

Elaine'searly career began at Digital Equipment Corporation as a Software Engineer.
