Liam Conneally

Liam Conneally currently serves as the Chief Executive of Galway County Council since April 2023. Prior to this role, Liam held the position of Director of Services at Clare County Council from August 2016 to April 2023. Liam's extensive experience includes serving as a Senior Planner for Limerick City and County Councils between December 2013 and July 2016, and as Director at Mid West Regional Authority from December 2007 to November 2013. Educationally, Liam holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Queen's University Belfast (1989-1991) and a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration with a focus on National & Regional Planning from the University of Limerick (1985-1989).
