Dominique Ruetimann began their work experience in 1992 as a Deputy District Attorney at the Office of the District Attorney. Dominique then worked as an Attorney-at-Law at Schindler Rechtsanwaelte from 1994 to 1998. In 1998, they joined GAM as the Head Legal & Compliance for Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, holding this position until 2014. During their time at GAM, they also served as the Head Compliance - Continental Europe and Managing Director, as well as a Member of the Executive Board and Board of Directors. In 2002, Ruetimann became a Member of the Group Compliance Committee at UBS, and in 2005, they were the Head Legal & Compliance Switzerland for SBC Wealth Management AG. In 2006, they worked as the General Counsel at Creinvest AG. In 2014, Ruetimann became a Guest Lecturer at VisionCompliance SA, a position they held until 2017.
Dominique Ruetimann's education history includes a Bachelor of Law from the University of Zurich, obtained in 1986. Dominique then pursued a Master of Law UZH from the same university, completing it in 1989. In 1994, they obtained an Attorney-at-Law degree from the Supreme Court of the Canton of Zurich, allowing their to practice law in all Swiss courts, including the Federal Supreme Court. Dominique later pursued a postgraduate Master's degree in International Banking and Finance Law (LL.M.) from the University of Zurich, which they completed in 2002. In 2000, Dominique attended a summer course on International Arbitration and Competition Law in China at the University of Hong Kong. In recent years, they obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in General Management from Fernfachhochschule Schweiz.
