Francesco Dimech has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Francesco started their career in 2007 as a Web Designer and Front End Developer at AZ Creations, where they designed and maintained websites. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Software Developer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, designing and developing an inventory system. During this time, they also worked as a Waiter at The Xara Palace Relais & Châteaux. In 2010, they worked as a Sales Assistant at eWorld, managing the shop and improving its appearance.
In 2011, they worked as a Web Developer at The Creative Partners and also undertook a thesis project at MCAST focusing on an attendance system. Francesco then joined AV Technologies in 2012 as a Web Developer, where they utilized various tools and technologies to create custom components and modify user interfaces.
From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Uniblue Systems Ltd as an Internal Software Developer and later as a CRO & Front-End Web Specialist. In 2018, they joined Blexr as a Full Stack Developer, responsible for the research and execution of an iGaming tool. Francesco later took up roles as an IT Product Owner, Dev Lead, and Marketing Tech Lead, where they oversaw various responsibilities related to stakeholder needs, project delivery, and translating requirements into user stories.
Currently, Francesco is working at Gambling.com Group as a Lead Developer, where they provide technical leadership, guides team development efforts, and ensures high software quality standards.
Francesco Dimech has an educational background in various fields. In 2001, they attended the Junior Lyceum Hamrun, where they obtained a MATSEC qualification. From 2008 to 2010, they pursued an MCAST National Diploma in IT at St Martins. Following that, from 2010 to 2011, Francesco obtained a Higher National Diploma in Interactive Media & Graphic Design at MCAST. Continuing their studies, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Interactive Media & Graphic Design at MCAST from 2007 to 2012. Finally, in 2013, Francesco attended ICE Malta for a program in Game Development with Unity, specializing in Game Development & Maya Modelling.
