José-Antonio Rubio has held a variety of roles in the past decade. From 2010-2014, they were an Admissions Counselor at the University of Michigan, where they represented and promoted the University to a wide range of audiences, served as the University's Theirpanic and Native American Recruiter, and evaluated freshman and transfer admission applications. From 2014-2015, they were an Admissions & Recruitment Specialist at the University of Michigan College of Architecture + Urban Planning. From 2015-2019, they were a Graduate Program Coordinator at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they oversaw the entire student life cycle from admission to graduation, processed 1,300+ admission applications, and advised 500+ master's and 300+ PhD students. From 2019-2021, they were a Software Developer at Nexient, where they created a Component Library for a Fortune 500 client, implemented an enterprise level application for a Fortune 500 client to manage voucher money system, and was the lead front-end developer on an internal project to manage recruitment, schedule interviewing, solicit feedback, and track offers. José-Antonio is currently a Senior Developer at Endava.
José-Antonio Rubio attended the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from 2002 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature. José-Antonio then attended Oregon State University from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
