Vigneshwar B R, MSIE

Vigneshwar B R has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Vigneshwar began their career as a Management Apprentice/Trainee at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, where they optimized database management and conducted Time-in-Motion studies to reduce lead-time.

Vigneshwar then worked as an Engineering Intern at National Small Industries Corp (Nsic), where they gained expertise in AutoCAD, LabVIEW, PLC, DCS, and SCADA design. Vigneshwar also produced drawings for a Quality Management System, ensuring six-sigma quality for customers.

Vigneshwar then joined Oikos Energy as an Industrial Engineer, where they successfully analyzed the bill of materials to create a master production schedule and led cross-functional teams in driving overall improvements in supply chain, production, and distribution.

After that, they worked at Western Michigan University as a Student Supervisor, where they effectively managed inventory and restructured a storage unit as part of a graduate-level project.

Following their time at the university, Vigneshwar joined Kellogg Company and held two roles. As a Manufacturing Engineering, they conducted cost analysis and contributed to the development of a data model simulating SAP and material costing. Later, as a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Resource, they created a data model using Tableau to simulate SAP and identified opportunities for improvement in inventory management.

Currently, Vigneshwar is working at GameChange Solar as a Commodity Engineer/Analyst. In this role, they are responsible for placing purchase orders, scheduling vendor production, and coordinating production reports for different projects.

Vigneshwar B R, MSIE completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Anna University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Vigneshwar has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. Vigneshwar obtained a Supply Chain Warehousing Certificate, developed by ASCM in partnership with PROLOGIS, from the Association for Supply Chain Management in October 2022. In November 2020, they completed a course on Developing SQL Databases from Udemy.

Furthermore, Vigneshwar has acquired several certifications related to process improvements and project management. These include the Process Improvements Foundation, SAP ERP Essential Training, and Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), all obtained in October 2019. Additionally, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) 35 PDU's certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2018.
