Carlos Pardo Gorris

Carlos Pardo Gorris has extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Carlos is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at GameHouse, where they are responsible for building and optimizing the data engineering department's processes. Carlos has successfully implemented key processes between departments and executed a full data process audit, resulting in a 50% reduction in infrastructure costs.

Prior to their current role, Carlos worked at Socialpoint as a Senior Data Engineer, where they expanded and optimized data pipeline architecture. Carlos improved collection, transformation, and data presentation for cross-functional teams and played a key role in the development of ETL processes. Carlos also implemented a new data lake to support business agility and accelerated decision-making in game development. Carlos was responsible for the administration and maintenance of data warehouses and was proficient in SQL, Python, and various AWS services.

Carlos also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at ALEA, where they designed and developed new features, created APIs, and migrated legacy code. Carlos worked with Symfony and was part of a team that maintained real-time applications.

Before joining ALEA, Carlos worked as a freelancer, undertaking software engineering projects. Carlos also had a role as a Lead Software Engineer at Outmark, where they defined recruitment practices and managed a development team. Carlos enhanced production software systems and executed migration and updates of legacy systems.

Earlier in their career, Carlos co-founded Iboom Live Shopping and developed an e-commerce platform using Joomla!. Carlos also worked at Dinamiz-e, where they developed and managed a web-based platform for the Spanish health service, and at Tridion SDL as a Technical Support Engineer, providing product support to customers.

Carlos started their career as a Software Developer at Dinamiz-e and ODEC, where they developed software applications using Java and J2EE technologies.

Throughout their career, Carlos has gained expertise in various programming languages, including PHP, Java, and SQL. Carlos is proficient in different frameworks and technologies, such as Symfony, Docker, and various AWS services. Carlos has a strong background in data engineering, software development, and project management.

Carlos Pardo Gorris completed a 3-year degree in Computer Science from CEU Cardenal Herrera University from 2001 to 2004. Carlos then pursued further education, completing a degree in Databases for Analytics Environment from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in 2019. In 2019-2020, Carlos obtained a degree in Data Engineering and Big Data from the same university. Their latest educational endeavor was in 2021, when they completed a course in Big Data, focusing on Data Lakes, Batch & Streaming Processing, also from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
