Todd Greenspan has extensive experience in academic planning and policy development, currently serving as Executive Advisor at the University of California since 2023, following a tenure as Director from 2009 to 2023. Previously held positions include Interim Chief of Staff to the EVP & Provost in Academic Affairs and Director of Educational Relations. Todd's background also includes work in state government relations at the University of California from 1985 to 1991 and as a research analyst for Policy Analysis for California Education at the University of California, Berkeley in 1985. In addition to academic roles, Todd has been the Treasurer and ex officio board member of Gamelan Sekar Jaya since 1998. Todd holds a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Stanford University.

Gamelan Sekar Jaya
Gamelan Sekar Jaya (GSJ) is a sixty-member company of musicians and dancers, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1979, the company specializes in the performing arts of Bali. GSJ has been called “the finest Balinese gamelan outside of Indonesia” by Indonesia’s Tempo Magazine, and the group has performed in venues ranging from New York’s Symphony Space to LA’s Hollywood Bowl to remote village squares in Bali. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, GSJ’s mission is to foster artistic exchange between Bali and the United States through residencies, workshops, performances, and the creation of innovative new works of music and dance, and to share the excitement of this exchange with diverse audiences in California, the US, and abroad.
