They served as a Biomaterials Engineering Scientist at Gameto, focusing on innovative therapeutics for the female reproductive system, and held postdoctoral roles at Cornell University where they led significant NIH and JDRF-funded projects related to diabetes treatment. As a graduate research assistant at Yeungnam University, Tung developed novel technologies aimed at improving the survival of pancreatic islets for Type 1 diabetes without the need for immunosuppression.
