Divya Thiagarajan

Senior Staff R & D Engineer, Thermal And Fluid Systems at Gamma Technologies

Divya Thiagarajan has a strong background in fluids and heat transfer solver development. Divya started working at Gamma Technologies in April 2018 as a Senior Engineer II and later progressed to Senior Engineer III in May 2022. At Gamma Technologies, they were involved in the development of numerical models for fluids and heat transfer solvers.

Prior to that, Divya worked at Maha Fluid Power Research Center, Purdue University as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2012 to February 2018. During their time there, they focused on formulating and integrating numerical models for capturing the effects of surface features in lubricating interfaces of external gear machines. Divya also conducted extensive numerical and experimental studies to analyze the influence of component level surface features on the tribological performance of the machines under various operating conditions and working fluids. Additionally, they gained experience in numerical modeling of cavitation phenomenon in lubricating flows.

Overall, Divya Thiagarajan has a strong research and development background, with specialization in fluids and heat transfer solver development and tribological performance analysis of external gear machines.

Divya Thiagarajan pursued their education in a chronological manner. Divya completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University between the years 2008 to 2012. Following that, they attended Purdue University from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Divya then continued their studies at Purdue University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Divya completed a course on "Machine Learning, Modeling and Simulation Principles" from MIT xPRO in February 2022.
