Hussain Nilar is a Senior Environmental Approvals Advisor at Gamuda Australia, working on the Sydney Metro - Western Tunnelling Package since September 2023. Prior to this role, Hussain served as Environment Manager for Sydney Metro from January 2021 to August 2023, overseeing the construction of a 13-kilometre metro line and associated infrastructure. Hussain's previous positions at Sydney Metro included Environment Coordinator and Environment Officer, managing various integrated station developments and upgrades. Hussain's experience also includes serving as Environmental Advisor for Laing O'Rourke on the Central Station Metro upgrade and Environmental Coordinator for CPB Contractors on Westconnex projects. Hussain holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Advanced Environmental Science - Ecology from the University of Wollongong.
