Sezen Mert

Sezen Mert has a diverse work experience in various positions and companies. In 2009, they started their career as an English Translator at IEFT International Education Fairs of Turkey, where they worked until 2014. Sezen then moved on to Elips Tasarım Mimarlık in 2016, where they worked as an Architect for six months.

In 2017, Sezen Mert joined A4 Granit Mermer A.Ş. as an Architect, responsible for project and field control of marble productions within the scope of the Kuzu Effect project in Ankara. Sezen also worked on new project drawings and quantity calculations for the company.

The following year, Mert started working at GAMYTE as a Project Estimator & Quality Assurance. Their responsibilities included managing estimation teams, coordinating between teams, and ensuring process compliance. In 2021, they were promoted to Projects Lead, where they continued to manage the Estimation and Material teams.

Sezen Mert's education history begins with their attendance at Darüşşafaka Eğitim Kurumları from 2002 to 2012, where they completed their primary and secondary education. Afterward, Sezen Mert enrolled at Istanbul Technical University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, which they completed from 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, Sezen Mert attended Middle East Technical University (METU) from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Architecture. In 2018, during their time at METU, Sezen Mert also had the opportunity to study at Politecnico di Torino for a brief period, where they pursued an additional MS degree in Architecture. Currently, Sezen Mert is a doctoral student at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) since 2020, aiming to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Architecture.
