Jody Smith

Jody Smith, CIH, CSP, currently serves as the Director of Environment Health Safety at Gannet BioChem, a role held since December 2024, following a lengthy tenure at Nektar Therapeutics where Jody held various positions including Director of Environment Health Safety and Associate Director, EH&S. With a strong background in occupational exposure assessment, Jody has developed strategies for managing workplace hazards, conducted safety analyses, and supervised EH&S training and compliance programs. Jody's experience also includes roles in quality control and manufacturing, alongside entrepreneurial ventures in convenience store ownership. Jody holds a Graduate Certificate in Laboratory and Biological Safety from UMASS Lowell and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Chemistry from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
