Amy Thompson

Amy Thompson serves as the EVP and Chief People Officer at Gap Inc. since January 2024, bringing extensive experience in human resources and organizational development. Prior to this role, Amy held the same title at Mattel, Inc. from September 2017 to January 2024, where leadership focused on enhancing the global toy company's workforce in line with its extensive portfolio of iconic brands. Amy's background also includes serving as Chief People Officer at TOMS, where all aspects of human resources were led, and as Vice President of Partner Resources for Starbucks, overseeing HR operations across Asia. Earlier career roles include Sr. Director of Employee & Organization Development at Ticketmaster and Director of Human Resources at Citysearch.com. Academically, Amy earned a BA in Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu and an MA in Organizational Development from Azusa Pacific University.
