Starting in 1998, Patrick first served as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army, where they held several positions and gained experience in range safety, squad/team leadership, and heavy machine gun operation. After leaving the military in 2004, Patrick worked with the 761st Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company as an EOD Team Leader until 2008.

From 2013 to 2014, Patrick worked as a Freelance Safety Consultant and Trainer for their own company, True Safety Consulting & Training, LLC. Here, they provided OSHA-certified safety training and custom classes to clients on a national and international level.
