Jodie Blackstock

Jodie Blackstock is a barrister at Garden Court Chambers since November 2021 and has been serving as Treasurer for the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales since 2015. Previously, Jodie held the role of Legal Director and Director of Criminal and EU Justice Policy at JUSTICE from January 2009 to September 2021, focusing on law reform, research, public interest litigation, and education. Earlier experience includes working as a barrister at 1 Crown Office Row from October 2004 to December 2008 and as an intern and attorney at Freedom Law Chambers in Trinidad and Tobago from June 2003 to April 2007. Jodie has an extensive educational background with degrees from prominent institutions, including a Master of Laws in Human Rights from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester.
