David Metzger

David Metzger is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the avionics industry. Since December 2005, David has served as the Technical Lead Mechanical Engineer at Garmin, focusing on mechanical design for both panel-mount and remote-mount avionics for various aircraft types, including general aviation, business, military, fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and UAS. Prior to this role, David was employed at Northrop Grumman from October 1995 to December 2005 as a Staff Engineer, specializing in product engineering for satellite payloads, encompassing digital, RF, and mixed signal systems. David began their career as an Engineering Intern at NASA Glenn Research Center in 1995, contributing to research on the Low Speed Axial Compressor. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.
