Afraz Jaffri is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner since September 2019, Afraz has authored significant research publications including the Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms 2024 and the AI Hype Cycle for 2022-2023. Prior to this role, Afraz worked at Capgemini from March 2009 to September 2019, leading AI initiatives and major analytics implementations within the public sector, while also providing consultancy services on semantic web technologies. Earlier experience includes a managerial position at PwC in data assurance. Afraz holds a PhD and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
