Gary Hein is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the IT research and consulting industry. Currently serving as the Group Vice President at Gartner since January 2010, Gary oversees the IT Professional research team. Prior to this role, Gary was the VP of Operations at Burton Group from July 2003 to September 2010, managing analyst, consulting, and production teams. Earlier in Gary's career, from 1992 to 2003, positions held at Novell included Vice President of Architecture, as well as roles in competitive marketing, consulting, and customer support. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University between 1988 and 1992.
