Grant Nelson

Grant Nelson is a seasoned finance expert with extensive experience in research, strategy, and analytics. Currently serving as Vice President and Team Manager at Gartner since May 2019, Grant leads a global team of finance professionals to deliver innovative research and advisory services focused on Finance Data & Analytics. Prior to Gartner, Grant was a Senior Strategy & Finance Leader in self-employment and held various senior roles at Genuine Parts Company from 1997 to 2018, including Vice President of Strategic Financial Analytics. Throughout this career, Grant has been responsible for substantial budgets, advanced analytics, and change management efforts while collaborating closely with finance leaders to enhance data-driven decision-making. Grant holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by leadership training from Leadership Cobb.
